    To secure your spot on any Wanderfull Expedition, we require a 25% non-refundable deposit at the time of booking. This allows us to confirm arrangements, hold spaces with our suppliers, and prepare your expedition.

    Final Payment

    The remaining 75% balance is due 90 days before departure.
    If you’re booking within 90 days of the trip, full payment is required immediately.

    Cancellations

    We understand plans can change, so here’s how cancellations work:

    • 90+ days before departure:
      Your 25% deposit is non-refundable, but any additional payments are refunded.

    • 61–89 days before departure:
      50% of the total trip cost is refundable.

    • 60 days or less:
      The trip is fully non-refundable.

    We strongly recommend travel insurance to protect your booking.

TERMS & CONDITIONS

 

1. INTRODUCTION

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) form the contract between you (“the Passenger”, “traveller”, or “you”) and Wanderfull Expeditions Limited (“Wanderfull Expeditions”, “we”, “our”, or “the Company”). By booking or participating in any expedition, tour, activity, or service offered by the Company (“Expedition”), you agree to be bound by these Terms.

 

Participation in our Expeditions involves inherent risks. Please read these Terms carefully before booking.

 

2. DEFINITIONS

2.1 “Expedition” means any tour, trip, journey, activity, accommodation, transport, or service organized, operated, or sold by Wanderfull Expeditions.

2.2 “Passenger”, “you”, or “participant” means any person taking part in an Expedition.

2.3 “Third-Party Supplier” means any independent contractor providing transport, accommodation, guiding, activities, or other services during the Expedition.

2.4 “Force Majeure” means any event outside the Company’s reasonable control including, but not limited to: acts of God, natural disasters, severe weather, pandemics, epidemics, government restrictions, border closures, strikes, war, terrorism, political unrest, mechanical failure, and similar events.

2.5 “Booking Confirmation” means written confirmation issued by the Company upon receipt of required payment.

 

3. FORMATION OF CONTRACT

A binding contract exists once:

(a) you submit a booking request,

(b) you pay the required deposit, and

(c) we issue written booking confirmation.

 

You must be at least 18 years old to make a booking. You agree that all information provided is accurate.

 

If you book on behalf of others, you accept these Terms for each participant and confirm you have authority to do so.

 

4. DEPOSITS & PAYMENTS

4.1 A non-refundable 25% deposit (amount specified on your itinerary or invoice) is required to secure your booking.

4.2 Full payment is due 90 days prior to departure unless otherwise stated.

4.3 Bookings made within 90 days of departure require full payment immediately.

4.4 Failure to pay by the due date may result in cancellation without refund of deposit.

4.5 You are responsible for all bank fees, currency conversion fees, and related costs.

 

5. PRICING & SURCHARGES

5.1 Prices are based on costs, exchange rates, taxes, and tariffs at the time of publication.

6. CANCELLATIONS BY YOU

Cancellations must be received in writing.

Cancellation fees:

• 90 days or more before departure: The 25% deposit is non-refundable; any additional payments are refunded

• 61–89 days before departure: 50% of the total expedition cost is forfeited.

• 60 days or fewer before departure: 100% of the total expedition cost is forfeited.

 

No refunds apply for:

– early departure,

– unused services,

– failure to meet entry, visa, or health requirements.

 

We strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance with cancellation cover.

 

7. CANCELLATIONS OR ALTERATIONS BY WANDERFULL EXPEDITIONS

7.1 We may cancel or modify an Expedition if required for:

• passenger safety,

• operational concerns,

• severe weather,

• government restrictions,

• political unrest,

• or any other Force Majeure event.

 

7.2 If we cancel before departure for reasons NOT related to Force Majeure, you may choose:

(a) a full refund, or

(b) transfer to another Expedition.

 

7.3 If cancellation is due to Force Majeure, we may offer:

(a) an alternative date,

(b) credit toward a future trip,

(c) a partial refund minus unrecoverable costs.

 

7.4 We are not liable for indirect costs such as:

• flights,

• visas,

• accommodation,

• equipment purchases,

• insurance,

• loss of income.

 

8. ITINERARY CHANGES

8.1 Itineraries are subject to change due to weather, safety concerns, operational needs, or Force Majeure.

8.2 We may alter schedules, activities, transportation, or accommodations at our discretion.

8.3 No refunds are provided for itinerary changes or missed activities outside our control.

 

9. TRAVEL INSURANCE (MANDATORY)

9.1 All participants must hold comprehensive travel insurance covering:

• medical treatment,

• emergency evacuation,

• repatriation,

• personal accident,

• trip interruption/cancellation.

9.2 Proof of insurance must be provided before departure.

9.3 We may cancel your booking without refund if insurance proof is not provided.

 

10. HEALTH, FITNESS & MEDICAL CONDITIONS

10.1 You must ensure you are physically and mentally capable of participating.

10.2 You must disclose all relevant medical conditions.

10.3 We may require a medical certificate.

10.4 We may deny participation or remove any participant who poses a risk to themselves or others.

10.5 You are responsible for medication, vaccinations, and personal health requirements.

10.6 Pregnancy must be disclosed. Some activities may be restricted.

 

11. TRAVEL DOCUMENTS & ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

You are responsible for:

• valid passport (minimum 6 months validity), 

• visas and permits, 

• vaccinations, 

• meeting all border requirements.

 

No refunds apply if you cannot travel due to incomplete documentation.

 

12. ASSUMPTION OF RISK

Adventure travel involves inherent risks. These include, but are not limited to:

• rugged terrain, 

• wildlife encounters, 

• extreme weather, 

• water hazards, 

• remote locations without immediate medical access, 

• illness or injury, 

• transportation risks (boat, vehicle, aircraft), 

• equipment failure. 

 

By booking, you acknowledge these risks and accept full responsibility for your participation.

 

13. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the maximum extent permitted by New Zealand law:

 

13.1 Wanderfull Expeditions is not liable for:

(a) injury, illness, emotional harm, or death, 

(b) loss or damage to property, 

(c) delays, inconvenience, or loss of enjoyment, 

(d) consequential, incidental, or indirect losses, 

(e) actions of Third-Party Suppliers, 

(f) acts of nature, civil unrest, or Force Majeure events.

 

13.2 Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for the Expedition.

 

14. INDEMNITY

You agree to indemnify Wanderfull Expeditions Limited against all claims, damages, losses, costs, and expenses arising from:

(a) your actions or omissions, 

(b) breaches of these Terms, 

(c) damage to property, equipment, or the environment, 

(d) injury caused to others.

 

15. THIRD-PARTY SUPPLIERS

15.1 We use independent contractors for transport, accommodation, guiding, and activities.

15.2 We are not responsible for their acts or omissions.

15.3 Their terms and conditions apply in addition to ours.

 

16. BEHAVIOUR & REMOVAL FROM EXPEDITION

We may remove any participant whose behaviour:

• endangers themselves or others,

• violates local laws or cultural norms,

• disrupts the group experience.

 

Removal is at your expense and no refund is provided.

 

17. PERSONAL PROPERTY

We are not liable for:

• theft, 

• loss, 

• damage, 

• delayed baggage.

 

Secure storage is not guaranteed during Expeditions.

 

18. MEDIA & MARKETING

You grant Wanderfull Expeditions a perpetual, royalty-free right to use images or videos taken during the Expedition for marketing unless you opt out in writing.

 

19. PRIVACY

We collect and store personal information in accordance with New Zealand privacy law. Details are used only for operational and safety purposes.

 

20. COMPLAINTS

Issues must be raised with your guide immediately. Formal complaints must be submitted within 30 days of trip completion.

 

21. SEVERABILITY

If any clause is unenforceable, the remainder of the Terms remain valid.

 

22. GOVERNING LAW & JURISDICTION

These Terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand. Any dispute shall be resolved exclusively by the courts of New Zealand.
